About Hansen-Mueller

Jack Hansen and Randy Mueller started Hansen-Mueller inDecember 1979. The two cousins wanted to be their own bosses, so they formed a fifty-fifty partnership.

Randy got the title of president while Jack's name got first billing in the company name. In the early days the company consisted of little more than two guys, each with a card table, a phone, and a grain directory. They shared the quote machine that sat on a TV tray. Back then they made money primarily by knowing truck freight and local market spreads. We still know our truck freight and local market spreads, but Hansen-Mueller has grown a lot since then. We've expanded into country elevator operations, feed grain processing, and bulk commodity logistics. Throughout our growth we've maintained our commitment to the principle that Jack and Randy emphasized at the start: treat others the way you want to be treated.

Commodity Trading

Since the very beginning commodity trading has been at the core of Hansen-Mueller’s business. Our experienced and informed traders handle commodities like corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats, along with a number of feed ingredients and byproducts like dried distillers grains (DDGs) and soy hull pellets. We own or have access to a number of elevators and bulk storage facilities located throughout the Midwest from Superior, Wisconsin, to Houston, Texas, to assist our customers with inventory management.

Bulk Commodity Logistics

We provide a range of services in bulk commodity logistics. From on-farm grain loading by truck, to ocean vessels and everything in between, we have the experience, the contacts and the facilities to assist you with importing, exporting, storing and trans-loading bulk commodities.

Feed Grain Processing

Our plant in Toledo, Ohio, produces a number of high quality processed grain products, available both bagged and in bulk. Call 888.800.7905 to locate the dealer nearest you, or to inquire about becoming a dealer.
